Sinking Creation is the second album by the Portuguese band TRAVO, released on February 22, 2022. Featuring eight tracks and running for roughly 54 minutes, the record blends psychedelic rock, space rock, and krautrock influences into a cosmic and immersive listening experience. The album draws inspiration from Jack Vance’s novel The Blue World, following the crew of the ship Creation as they navigate an oceanic world inhabited by mythical creatures and godlike beings.
Through songs such as Golden Eye, Land Soon, and The Beast, TRAVO builds a narrative in which a sailor’s search for a promised land leads him to question the beliefs and power structures that govern his world.
