Golden Hours is made up of Hákon Aðalsteinsson, Wim Janssens, Tobias Humble and Rodrigo Fuentealba Palavacino—four seasoned musicians who have played with bands such as Gang Of Four, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tricky and The Fuzztones. Based between Berlin and Brussels, they first emerged in 2023 with their self-titled debut and return on February 6, 2026 via London’s Fuzz Club with their second album, Beyond Wires. Staying true to their thunderous, avalanche-like post-punk sound, the record was written and recorded between tours in Berlin rehearsal rooms and an old mansion in Brussels, whose electric static bled into the songs. Rather than resisting these imperfections, the band embraced them, layering fuzz, noise and sharp melodic lines into a dense yet cutting sonic landscape.
With two lead vocalists—Hákon handling the odd-numbered tracks and Wim the even—the album explores diverse themes with striking unity. Twin fuzz-drenched guitars intertwine over a rhythm section that is tight yet volatile, complemented by carefully placed percussion, synths and atmospheric textures. According to Wim, the band is gradually carving out a sonic space of its own, transforming a wealth of influences into a distinct identity. Built through instinctive experimentation and a no-nonsense creative process—where weak ideas are quickly discarded—Beyond Wires captures four musicians pushing through noise and chaos to shape something raw, cohesive and unmistakably their own.
