The Heavenly Bodes - Green Hills

Green Hills is the sun-scorched debut from The Heavenly Bodes, arriving July 3rd 2026 via Fuzz Club. Recorded to reel-to-reel tape in a friend’s living room between beach trips during the sweltering summer of 2025, the album drifts through a haze of lo-fi garage psych, balancing erratic acid-rock bursts with woozy, slow-burning grooves. Saturated in tape hiss and coastal humidity, Green Hills captures the feeling of youthful escapism melting under the Cornish sun, where jangly surf guitars, hypnotic basslines and dissolving organs blur into the salty sea air.

Emerging from South Cornwall’s grassroots psych scene through chance encounters at Kernowbeat shows in Falmouth, the Heavenly Bodes channel a shared love of 60s acid garage into something intimate, immediate and unmistakably rooted in their seaside surroundings. Fully self-produced and mixed by band member Fin Wilson, the record embraces a loose, unpolished charm that lands somewhere between ragged garage-rock energy and the languid cool of the Velvet Underground. Following a run of demos, singles and their 2025 EP A Shelf You Can Applaud At A Distance — alongside support slots for The Chills and Charles Moothart — Green Hills feels like the sound of a band bottling the heat, chaos and romance of a long coastal summer.
