Berlin-based band The Underground Youth have released a new single titled “O’ Evangeline,” now available digitally alongside a music video. The track blends dreamy psychedelic textures with melancholic post-punk and arrives after the group’s recent run of shows in Germany and Italy. It also features guest vocals from Sade Sanchez of L.A. Witch and comes ahead of upcoming tours in Australia and Greece.
According to frontman Craig Dyer, the song is inspired by “Evangeline,” a symbolic figure representing the many people around the world who stand up against oppression and the abuse of power. The track serves as an ode to those voices of protest and marks the first in a series of standalone singles that The Underground Youth plan to release this year.
