The Asteroid No.4 - Several Shapes Of Solar Flares

San Francisco-based psychedelic rock band The Asteroid No.4 will release their twelfth studio album, 'Several Shapes of Solar Flares', on September 27. This album showcases the band's evolution while retaining their signature blend of shoegaze and dream pop, featuring guest vocals from Galine Tumasyan of Seablite and Zoe Mahaney. The band embraces comparisons to iconic acts like Ride and Slowdive, yet has crafted a unique sound that is both nostalgic and innovative.

Originally formed in Philadelphia in the late 1990s, The Asteroid No.4 has become a key player in the modern psych genre, known for their atmospheric soundscapes and evocative lyrics. Tracks from the new album, such as the energetic "Rescue" and the dreamy "Lost Inside," highlight their dynamic instrumentation, while "Caroline’s Gone" and "Elevator" showcase their shoegaze and space rock influences. Self-produced and mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive, the album reflects their extensive touring experiences, including performances with notable acts like The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Looking ahead, the band plans to tour the EU/UK in 2025, continuing to engage their international fanbase with new music.
