By The River is inspired by our collective love for late-60s East-meets-West music (Beatles in Rishikesh vibes). The track has a distinctly Eastern flavour, featuring a drone based melody, shimmering guitars, rich textured harmonies and hypnotic drums, encouraging the listener to take a dreamlike journey into an ethereal world.
We record all our material from a home setup in the Midlands and are promoting the single by gigging throughout the UK this autumn as well as undertaking a mini tour of Southern France in December 2023. By The River is a song about eternal love. The lyrics focus on juxtaposing truths, nature and the transition between life and afterlife. The track features Lucian Thomas of Manchester-psych band Farfisa on sitar.
