Following the success of a limited 7" lathe cut single that sold out in 35 minutes, Sacred Buzz is set to release their full EP 'Radio Radiation' on November 1, 2024, through Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records in Dublin. Written and recorded in late 2023, this six-track EP is filled with a blend of fuzzy, psychedelic rock and danceable grooves that reflect the band’s love for 60s garage rock, krautrock, and proto-punk. The EP’s sound mixes reverberating drones with raw energy, creating an atmosphere that’s both intense and nostalgic.
'Radio Radiation' explores themes of global fragility and beauty amidst chaos, with frontman Ivan Skvortsov’s distorted vocals delivering a haunting message. The songs took shape during summer 2023 in Berlin, where the band spent time jamming, barbecuing, and discussing world events. Recorded live at their DIY studio on Frank Zappa Street, the EP preserves the spontaneity and punk vibe of the sessions, capturing the energy of their rehearsal space—a place filled with musicians and heavy with the scent of creativity.
