Osees - ORCS 80

After last year's synth-punk album "Intercepted Message" and the anarcho-punk "A Foul Form" from the previous year, Osees return with a playful approach in their latest collection, "SORCS 80." John Dwyer, the band's frontman, shifted from guitar to Roland SPD-SX samplers and electronic percussion, marking a significant change in their writing method. The album's creation involved looping drums and building songs from these samples, with lyrics evolving during rehearsals. The first single, "Cassius, Brutus & Judas," features Dwyer's intense vocals against a backdrop of saxophone and percussion, exploring the corrupting influence of money. The album releases on August 9, followed by a US tour from late August to October, although Dwyer is uncertain if the samplers will be used live due to their finicky nature.
