Sir Marmalade - Liberty Soup (Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records)

Stepping into the limelight with an eclectic blend of psychedelic rock, Sir Marmalade's new single 'Liberty Soup' is a sonic trip. The song, born from the band's formative jam sessions, takes a cue from the simple, hard-hitting hooks of vintage psychedelic garage tunes. The track kicks off with an infectious riff that morphs into a tonally dynamic song - the repetitive themes are pure earworm material, while the 12-string electric guitar bridge offers a nostalgic nod to the 60s. It's all about breaking free, pushing boundaries, and navigating life's labyrinth with a bit of wit and a lot of passion.

The track is presented here with a visual created by label collaborator Mick White.

On the B-side, 'There's a Whirld Around You' paints a picture of the rollercoaster that is self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from 60’s garage bands and early Osees records, it's a weird and wonderful tune that captures the heady mix of exhilaration and anxiety that comes with the world opening up to you. It's a playful, psychedelic journey that swings between moments of introspective calm and surges of raw, distorted energy. In the words of the band's songwriter, it's about "the valuable lessons we learn as we grow, and the struggle to remember them when life gets a bit chaotic." Sir Marmalade's latest single is a vibrant exploration of the human experience, served up in their own distinctive style of psychedelic rock.

The single is set for release on Friday May 26th available digitally from the band or on a limited 7” lathe cut vinyl from the guys at Fuzzed Up And Astromoon Records. It will also be available across all streaming platforms.
